About Beechwood West Church

Beechwood West Church is the youngest of the three congregations in Hallwood Parish. In the nineteen eighties it was realized that there was no Church presence at the western end of the parish. After much prayer and waiting, in 1991 a group of twelve people, mainly from St. Mark's, began to hold monthly family services in Beechwood West School. In 1996, at Pentecost, the congregation began to meet weekly.

The church has no building of its own. All the services are held in the school hall and there is an air of informality.  Emphasis is placed on the church as the people of God meeting together. Music is provided by a pianist and guitarist.

At the end of each service most people stay for the important cup of tea or coffee and sharing of everyday news.
