Lunch Club meets at 12:30 pm on most Wednesdays during school term time at Bethesda Church. It provides a simple but wholesome meal consisting of a main course (chosen to be suitable for elderly members) followed by a sweet course and tea or coffee.
All for £3.00.
The secretary, Sheila LePage, and helpers prepare and serve the meals and other volunteers assist with the washing up and transport of members.
Whilst primarily catering for pensioners, the membership is open to all and visitors are always welcome. We would, however, appreciate notice if a member is likely either to be absent or alternatively is bringing a visitor or visitors.
In addition to food, the club provides a weekly social get together for the members, mostly people living alone, about half of whom are church members.
